DOSAGE

A semi-autobiographical performance exploring the side effects of the contraceptive pill on mental health. Performed Written and Directed by Maya Shimmin. Co-Produced by Fable Workshop.

My role was as sound designer / loop artist, and I was on stage with the performer combining live looping with my own prepared compositions to drive the narrative. You can read more about it at https://www.fableworkshop.co.uk/dosage

BONES

Bones is a dynamic and bold physical theatre production that ignites the collaboration between rugby and theatre to tackle the stigma surrounding mental health. Written by Lewis Aaron Wood, directed by Daniel Blake. Read more at https://parktheatre.co.uk/whats-on/bones/about

For this project I created 9 compositions to go with each of the monologues, teamed with powerful movement routines. I enjoyed covering the full scale of intensity, combining elements of club music, electronic, sound design and synthy soundscapes.

"Staged just short of a rugby match at 70 minutes, there are artful scenes in which characters run across AstroTurf while Eliza Willmott’s excellent sound design sets their movement against drum’n’bass and electronica. This conveys the brute energy of the sport, with scrum formations and men charging into each other." - The Guardian
